Hi from another new GTi owner

Post by MINTpolo »

Hi there,

New member for Aus just showing some pics of my 6 week old, freshly waxed GTi. I am pretty happy with the car so far, a definite step up in power and refinement from my old 323, though my verdict isnt out on the handling yet. Only dissapointment is a few rattles from the dashboard already (is this common?) but otherwise i love it and am eagrly awaiting being able to afford the APR ecu upgrade for those extra Kw.

Very nice, looks great in white but in the UK at the moment it would be grey/brown within a week from all the road grime and bad weather! A set of KW coilovers would sort out the handling in a jiffy but they're not cheap :|

Very nice GTi - afraid to say that all polos seem to have a few rattles from the dash.

Thanks guys, i reckon white looks great too. I very much like the red, but i told my self never to own a red car again (It fades too much down here). I almost went for the dark blue, but is hard to keep looking clean and gets bloody hot.

looks great mate.

Are they this high as standard in the UK? I'm having trouble finding one to look at at dealers

Looks really nice, congratulations!

I reckon along with the remap filter and dv, a set of 17" MK5 Golf GTI wheels and a bit of lowering would make it perfect.

Mmm... That's got me thinking!
