Mk7 steering wheel in Mk5

Post by Mouse_GTI »

I'd love a new GTI steering wheel in my car. Just wondering how much work would be involved and if it's even possible in the first place

Haha I was idly thinking about this yesterday afternoon, think someone way back in the primeval mists of the early days of uk-polos was tinkering with the idea of an R32 wheel in their GTi

Aside from the costs of the wheel itself, are there going to be issues with airbags

I would check the Momo steering wheel boss application list on www.demon-tweeks.com to see if the splines are the same.

If they're the same, go for it! :)

The Ibiza has the same wheel with an even worse airbag!

I ripped mine out and replaced it with a 320mm Momo wheel :)
