wolfsburg gear knob

Post by vwdan »

hi
anyone have a wolfsburg gear knob in there polo?
have seen some nice ones on eBay and was kinda tempted

The 2 above I quite liked. The first one probably more which is the carbon fibre one

Anyone recommend it? I think it would be a cool addition for the inside.
I notice though that you can only get these on eBay and they ship from Germany. Would I get customs charges with something like that or is that more applicable on things say from the states or hong kong?
Or alternatively can you get them anywhere in the UK?

Looks like a universal gearknob with a custom inlay to me.

they are rather nice. i personally prefer the leather one. has that little touch of elegance to it :P hehehehe

IMO it would probs look awesome, though the standard gear knob isnt half bad :D

And ye, it does look like its got an insert :(

Cheers,

In my opinion, it's rather pointless. It doesn't look like a decent item. It seems like a generic gear knob with a sticker on it. I like the Mk5 gearknob, it has a decent feel to it. Maybe it's the 'Wolfsburg Edition' bit that gets on my nerves.

Now, if they made some 'Pamplona Edition' tat for VW's...

Yeah the standard one does have a nice feel! your right
Just looking for some nice light and easy mods

Now starting to prefer the leather one over the 2 lol
The Momo ones are sposed to be pretty good but Im not sure on the look to be honest lol

Perhaps I will just keep what I got lol

you can get the gearknob from vag parts or a dealer and comes with the leather gaiter.

It always amazes me that some of the smallest items are the most expensive :P hehe.

I've got the GTi leather stitched steering wheel. It's got a great feel to it. A nice GTi leather gear knob would match it rather nicely :D

Alex

not as far as i know. There was an option when they were built for a leather stitched steering wheel. My mate also has it on his GTi. Just an optional extra as far as I know.
