BMC fitments prices?

Post by LiverpoloGTi »

Hi everyone,

I won an e-bay auction for a new BMC for my GTI, I got it for £80 which im pretty pleased about (I guess 9pm on x-mas eve is not a good time to end an e-bay auction) :)

Anyway the guy has finally got back to me and quoted some prices for the fittings required for a 6n2 GTI:
£10.74 for a BMC 90 degree bend (Part No:SAC09070K), and
£16.45 for a BMC 16mm breather filter (Part No: SA16-40)

I've searched online but couldnt find prices for these parts anywhere, So I thought i'd check with you guys to make sure im not getting ripped off on these fitments.

Thanks Arnoldo,

I checked on the Halfords website and saw their Ripspeed Chrome Breather. I didnt like the look of it too much, and at £11 it didn't represent to much of a saving (plus i'd have to leave the house to get it).
So I bought all the bits from the e-bay guy. It was £115 for everything including P&P, seemed like a fair enough deal to me.

I've read a few guides on fitting BMC's and some suggest that I'm going to need a length of copper pipe to join the breather filter to the tubing. Is this just standard plumbing type copper pipe? If so approx how much of it am I going to need? (im thinking it's gotta be just a few cm's).
