Bought a PC

Post by ModifiedMadness »

Bought myself a Porter Cable Polisher, which should have been sent out today.

Can't wait to get to grips with it and give the car a good going over.

Just thought I'd share that with you all :D

I have ways of getting a transformer and plug Dino

Did you cut the 2 prong plug off and fit a 110v yellow one to yours?

Oh and I'll be contacting you soon about it 8)

Nice one, Tom 8)

I've been thinking of getting one for a while, my car has some nasty swirls

What polish are you thinking of using? I've heard that Menzerna polishes are the ones to use with VAG paint.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from?

With VAG paint you need to use Menzerna polishes with a slow cut method.

Something like powergloss followed up with Intensive Polish if the paint is bad or maybe just IP followed with Final Finish.

I am sure you will be pleased with the results.

I have had mine for over 6 months, I must admit I have only used it twice though and both times was on the Polo, I haven't had the free time to attempt the Passat yet - that is what comes with having 2 children.

It is a long term investment though. I'd also recommend Menzerna IP.

Alright Ollie, I got mine from this guy on E-Bay

As for Polish, I'll use whatever Dino recommends as I'm a complete novice at it

Of course, atm it's filthy

It needs to be cleaned before Tuesday though ready for the install. Even though the 3 hour drive there will dirty it.
