changing bulbs in a mk5 6n2

Post by vwdan »

Sorry if I have the wrong forum but is there a tutorial anywhere showing how to change the front bulbs in a mk5 6n2?
It seems silly but they seem quite fiddly to change. the right one can be done just by shifting the battery a little but the one on the left looks impossible.

Thanks

Front indicators are about a 2 minute job mate, you'll be suprised how easy they are.

Check this out http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=23920 and scroll down until you see the bit about removing the indicator lense.

cheers
would be so easy if it was just a case of sliding off the back casing, changing them then putting the casing back on lol

i have that same problem mate by having to remove the battery! makes a 2 minute job a 10minute job if it wasnt for the battery in the way on the passenger side!

i'd be more inclined to remove the indicator than the battery, it is only held in by one bolt

I've changed all front bulbs by removing the indicator lens first. You can then get your hand in round the back quite easily. No need to remove battery!

Pretty sure there's not mate, I've never seen any bolts on mine and have had them out a few times.

On MK4's there's a nut to undo in order to take the indicator lenses off, but definitey not on MK5's.
