I think they're slowly growing on me. It's weird, since they're so tucked in to the arches, whereas the RXII's sat so nicely with the spacers on. Especially when parking, as I can't see how close the wheels are to the curb.

And yes, it definitely looks lower now, but there's still a bit of arch gap remaining. But they're definitely an OK stopgap while I give the RXII's some much-deserved 'maintainence'.

Nope, no problems whatsoever. Only a bit of rubbing here and there, when I'm going over uneven road surfaces over 20mph.

Yeah, I fitted it myself. It took me a couple of days, and I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have prior knowledge. It was a proper ballache, really.

If you get it done by a specialist, you can have your tracking, camber, and your headlights adjusted as well.

Time for an update, everyone.

Ever since having my winter wheels put on, I've been rather lax on my car cleaning routine. My RXII's were holed up in the garage, cold, and only having a blanket for protection against the winter.

Today, after seeing Mouse's excellent wheel detailing thread, I decided to give it a go.

My cleaning gear for the day. Tech wax probably wasn't the best choice, but I shall wax them again once I get Chemical Guy's RimWax, around Spring next year.

Image

After getting nice and sudsy, I hosed them off. They were then dried with a waffle-weave drying towel, and I proceeded to waxing them.

Done!

A while ago, I said I would hand-polish the rims, but I've finally decided against doing it. They look good enough, for now

Hopefully, next year, they'll be going on something nicer, then I'll have them polished.

I have a new addition to my Polo coming this week, from Germany

All will be revealed in due time.

I've also noticed Autobra have started stocking Car Bras for 6N2's. I may have to order one soon :D

The new addition :D

Image

It's a Gewerkschaft der Polizei sticker, bought off German eBay :D

Basically, it's a sticker German drivers put on their windscreen to gain mercy with the local polizei. Basically, it means "We support our local Police/Sherriff".

It's just a bit of fun, and a bit of a cool mod. Much reccommended :)

I have a couple of the stickers left, Dan. If you want one, you can have one for a pound at the South East Meet 8)
