Cars looking good - Love those RXII's!

I'll take a sticker if you've still got any? (That's if it hasn't been dipped by anyone!)

Yep, they're 16" RXII's (or BBS RS764). They're very hard to find in 4x100 form, and they're much easier to find in 5x100 form.

Here's some advice I gave to another member, on page 2.
Unfortunately, they're not on sale anymore. They were originally standard equipment on the Golf 3.5 cabriolet, the avantgarde model.

If you want some, you'll have to do a lot of looking on ebay (English and German) for these wheels. There was a set on ebay recently, which looked a little tatty, but repairable. Keep on searching for terms like "BBS 16, BBS 4 stud, BBS RS, BBS RXII, Golf wheels, Golf cabriolet/cabrio/convertible/cabby/etc." I'm fortunate enough to have contacts in the tyre and wheel trade, and got them refurbished with brand new tyres.

Have a look at local tyre and wheel shops, too in their second hand wheels, you may unearth some lying around. :D

Overall, they're VERY hard to acquire. Give 'cyhliu' and 'Redline' a PM, since they both have the same wheels. I think there was another guy in the 'Member's Rides' section with a grey GTI look-a-like. Getting their experiences about their wheels will be invaluable.

You could also go for a set of 16" RX's without the split-rim bolts, and are one-piece. They go for about £800, at a guess, and don't suffer the corrosion problems that RXII's have.

You could always offer me £1500 for mine though. :wink: :lol:
I could get a part number off my ones for you, and there may be a set lurking around in a dealership somewhere.

I have a part number;

It's 1H0601025AJ.

I was having a laugh when I said £1500. I really don't want to sell them (yet!). If I were to sell them, it'd be closer to £750 with tyres.

It makes me feel almost guilty about running my 16" RXII's during winter when I remember how rare they are :lol:

But they'll be getting refurbed once I have time to finish the 15's off, so I don't feel too bad.

yea the guy with grey GTI look-a-like on 16" RXIIs is me! ollie's right, they're damn hard to find these wheels! i've seen a few tatty sets on go ebay £300+... and u'll still need a good refurb and low profile tyres, so really it would be a bargain if ollie sold it at the price of £750 cuz his are mint! the condition of his wheels and his car in fact are the stuff of dreams for me.. nice shiny bodywork, lowered superbly and wheels spaced out just right, gives the car a better stance! thats the only thing i'd say about the rxIIs (apart from annoyingly bad corrosion!) i wish they 7" wide rather than 6.5"...

p.s loving the sticker! :lol:
