thinking of removing the rear badges and maybe putting anniversary style badge on the left side, whats the best way to remove the badges and get rid of the black sticky stuff?
I used some hot water and rinsed over the badges with it to loosen the adhesive. Also used a hair dryer to keep it warm. Then I got a plastic ice scraper and covered the edge with a few layers of black tape and worked it under the badge. Once I got it off I used a bit of WD40 to clean off the excess residue. Supposed you could also used a Clay Bar. I marked roughly where the new badge would go very lightly with a pencil and black tape, then carefully stuck the new one on
I just used a bit of cotton to get my badge off, then a mixture of my finger and Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover to get rid of the sticky foam. Once I'd done that I used a bit of Meguiars Scratch X to get rid of the outline of the writing.
