Hope someone can help. Got to work yesterday and the oil light flashed 3 or 4 times, checked the oil and the dipstick was dry! put 4 litres in (too much I think). It continues to drive well and car temp is normal but every now and then the oil light flashes a few times some time for up to 30 seconds then the car dumps so much smoke out of the exhaust its scary - but car continues to sound fine and drive ok - is it just burning excess oil!

Mate your best bet is to get an oil change and oil filter change hopefully should be an improvement.You can do this yourself easily. get the oil about 4 litres I cant remember how much I used but I used 2 bottles.
take the screw out the sump, drain the oil. get the filter off. Slam the new filter on and bang the oil in and you away
should notice a big difference!Cheers
