that way i should get my main bulbs and the free philips sidelights for about 30 quid which id say is pretty good!

which ones have you got out of interest? I quite like the look of the PowerBlue but im not sure what this blueish effect would look like on the car. Iv seen it before and other cars and it does look quite smart

Cheers. Will drop em an e-mail

Just an update. Got the bulbs ordered online today. Gave them a call and they changed the free pair to the H1s no problem at all. There pretty helpful :D

I went for the PowerBlues in the end, same as you. I did prefer the look of these ones first off. Made a massive difference to yours looking at your pics!

I checked the status and they have been packed and despatched already so shouldnt be long till I get them.
Also getting the free philips sidelights. I know you said about the LED ones but I was thinking of giving the Philips ones a go
I was wanting the change the main lights more anyway but I will see

Cheers again!

Also I see you are putting on front foglights and GTI bottom grilles as it says in your signature. Will look good. I got the GTI grille.
Would like front fogs but not sure how easy they are to fit. I seen em on VAG parts for only about 100 quid!

They are the easiest thing to fit - just need a new light switch, new grilles for the bottom and the foglights plus bulbs. The wiring is already in place, and they just screw in. Not sure when I will be doing them yet :P but soon I hope!

p.s. post some pics when u done it, or email me some :P i like to see things like that heheh!

yeah no worries! as soon as I get em in I will try and get a pic up!

didnt realise the wiring was already in place for front fogs. how do you go about getting a new light switch though? is this just one that replaces the current old one or a seperate one altogether?

also did u see my GTI grille in a previous thread?

Ok yeah Im sure youve seen it all before lol but i was quite surprised on the difference it really makes. I would def like to get the bumper grillles the same honeycombe style but it was fitting the fog lights that put me off which is why I inquired about your plan.

Its literally a like for like swap. You push in the handle on the switch, turn it to sidelight and it gently pulls out.

You then unclip the back wiring, and just clip a new switch in place.

Your bonnet lines up better with the grille than mine does. Its off just slightly, never been able to work out why!?

I really does make a massive difference to the look of the car. I got mudflaps on mine aswell now :D

oh right I didnt realise it was as easy as that. might be worth thinking about in the future :) where can you get the different switches from? I didnt see them on VAG parts

got the bulbs today! couldnt believe it!! only ordered them yesterday lunchtime
Everythings all there and ready, now I just have to fit them....
Looked this morning and it looks quite daunting. It seemed awkward enough for me to get the plastic casing off let alone anything else lol

Just take your time with it dude. Where abouts are you in the uk out of curiosity :P? Great service with the postage i gotta admit!

You have to request it from the Mail Order VAG parts in the forum. theyll then get back to you. It applies for any parts you want that you cant see on their site - they can get anything for nearly any VW.

Cheers,

Alex
