engine cover

im looking for the engine cover you get on the mk4 1.0 litre?? any ideas where i can get one. im scrubbing up my engine bay etc and polishing the cam shaft casing etc. i want to modify the engine cover (if i can find one anywhere) and mod it to my 1.6! a one of a kind mod. thought it would look cool with my kand n. any ideas and help

try the scrappy or vw dealer dont no how much

i ordered a vw seat one which is exactly the same as the polo one. i phoned the vw dealer and they said they only make the engine cover for the 1.0 litre which is obviously bull**** coz you have one. the seat one is exactly the same so i am going to customise it for my polo. i need to ask you some questions though.

how does the cover bolt on the engine
and does it get hot (if so how hot coz i want to sand the logo off the one im buying and spray it etc put a 1.6 and 8v badge on it and basically i dont want the paint flacking off)

hi it just screws on to the engine n aint got a clue how to sand it off

I got one for my old MK4 from the local scrap yard. They charged me Â£5 for it

it set me back Â£20 from ebay. but its for a seat. its the same fixings etc so im gona sand it all down etc and colour code it all to my car. will look wicked. then add a 1.6 white badge an one of a kind vw logo
