Maybe you guys n gals can help. I was wondering if any one on here has a quick way of cleaning the front grills on the mk5.? I'm being lazy and cant be arsed cleaning the dirt out of every little honeycombe hole with my finger and bit of cloth haha. I tried an upholstery brush thing but it just didnt get it clean clean....you know. Still had little bits of dust n dirt making it look more browney grey instead of black. Am i just being too fussy?! haha
i used a back to black spray once it seemed to work ok although it didnt actually get the dirt out but made it look shiney and new.
if you are gona do this i would recoment taking the grille off before you spray it because once it gets on the paint it leaves a oily residue which can be a pain to get off
I thought about that back to black stuff but figured i'd just be covering the problem. Paint brush is a sound idea, pretty simple when you think about it really. Just having a blonde moment i guess
I normally unclip it and leave it soaking in the bath a while with car shampoo, then give it a quick clean with a brush that was originally for cleaning babies bottles lol, then I dry it and use the back to black spray.
sounds like a lot but it's really easy and gets your grill looking like new.
