Hi Ya

Post by Oddgy »

Hi Everyone, New member as ya can see. Weve just got our selves our first VW, so starting with the Polo.

Bought it a couple of weeks ago, 1.4 Match. Excellent Nick, really pleased with it, only 46k on clock with VWFSH.

Its the Air Con type, no sunroof unfortunately. However, was looking for some mods, like to add front fogs, and maybe put rear spoiler on it to start with.

That task is seeming a nitemare tho...as none are on ebay at the mo, and VAG parts seem to be ignoring me.

However, i have had some luck, managed to order the interior fog light switch..!!

Anyhow, just thought id make my self known to you all.

All the best.

Welcome to the club! Don't worry, VAGparts will respond they just get very very busy sometimes! You can always give them a ring on the old dog and bone

Eh Up.
Thanks for saying Hi guys.

Well the story is its not my car, its the missus, however, i have taken a shine to it..lol.

She had an 02 reg Micra which was shunted up behind, totally wrote it off. So with the pay out i decided that we needed a stronger car, so thats why we have ended up with the polo. Awesome looking in anycase.

It was a cracker really, even has heated seats which she never had before so shes happy with that. The only thing it doesnt have which the Micra did, was rear parking sensors. So.....yes, u know what im gonna say, i have had to order them and they are being fitted on Wednesday!! She doesnt need them....the car is small enuff, but the fact is, she is used to them...and when you get used to summin and then not to have it anymore, its a real big issue...!! (Just keep em happy as you know...!)

Not seen a polo with them in yet, so will be the first possibly???

Had them colour coded to the chassis number so it should look a ok. Anyway roll on wednesday.

Havent got any pics yet, but will take some soon ok?
