280 MM brake set up

Could I use my standard GTI calipers with the G60 discs or is it better to use G60 calipers aswell? Cheers

Standard callipers.
G60 callipers would require different brake flexi

GTi and G60 callipers are the same, thats why the conversion is so easy to do.

No need to change callipers, just the carriers.

The callipers are not the same.
I have two sets of G60 callipers in my house.
The difference is the connection for the brake flexi.

I was being tight when I replaced my Lupos hubs to fit larger brakes.
For a pair of callipers they were half the price of the Lupo items so I bought them, painted them then realised they didn't fit!
Gutted!

If you have 16v hubs.

The calipers i have (albeit they are from a passat vr6) are a lot deeper than the polo ones. I havent looked at the brake flexi though.

1 GTI - so i dont have to bother pm'ing, they are used and could do with a decent rub dwn and paint. The seals are all mint though.

Sorry mate. I've decided now, I only need the G60 carriers. Pointless me having the calipers aswell because I won't be using them. Cheers
