I'm on there, mainly because there's more Mk 1 and 2. There's a few good dubbers but way too many boys with bodykits.

I find the language/grammar quite appalling on there and to be honest it really puts me off. I abhor the use of text speak and there isn't any need to have F... every other word.
I can't stand text-talk either, its not like there is a limit on how many characters you can use in a forum post is there? So why do it!

I'm going to add my own opinion here.

I use it, and I can't stand to use it for 10 minutes at a time. This place will always be home.

This thread sums up what I dislike on there. Just because someone owns a car that is different to what the general consensus like, they feel the need to take the píss out of it. As the saying goes "If you can't say anything nice, don't say it at all".

Also, the amount of gratuitous swearing on there does my head in. It's a very well maintained, moderated and popular forum, but it doesn't do anything for me.

Sorry for being rather hypocritical, I just had to get it off my chest.

Yes but its a heap  that needs some TLC. If the owner joins uk-polos I'll post the same response I did there, here

I am a member but i rarely use it. Whenever i've asked something though there was usually a quick response.

However

Getting rid of off-topic was a BIG MISTAKE in my opinion....just scandalous haha!

Personally, i think there is nothing wrong with that thread! There is the one comment saying it is just 's**t', which is bang out of order! But the vast majority of the posts on that topic have all been relatively productive with the oppinions! I'v seen people get alot more stick than that lad got!! In all fairness, like si said, the car needs a lot of help! The styling is soooo off, and i would post the same comment if he joins here, as i did on there! I wasn't nasty or anything, gave an honest oppinion on what i think what be better

IMO that car is a heap, but I know how I'd feel if it was mine and it got slated by everyone (if I was happy with it).

Constructive criticism is what people like that need not everyone to turn around and say "yeah it's sh!t" :D

Either that or what Ollie said, don't say anything about it.
