Temp Guage not working

Hi

Hope you can help, i had a thermostat changed on my polo yesterday but the temp guage no longer works, can someone tell me where the wire is connected to on the engine?

its on the thermostat itself.i suggest its a faulty thermostat as this is quite common.you can test it yourself in a bowl of hot water to see if its working or not.check the wiring on it and if it looks ok,either test it yourself or take it back where you had it fitted for them to check it out or replace

thanks for the advice

the temperature gauge now works though it reads lower than before and when driving down a dual carrageway the temp reading drops, the air from the heater is warm though not as hot as before i had the thermostat replaced.

any ideas?

Had this myself mate , my cars freezin when drivin cos it cools down , thermostat is stuck open! Go back to where u got it done an get it looked at.

Let me no how you get on as i wanna fix mine but aint had time.
