had this flashing at me when i got in the car today, it ticked over to 75k the other day does it just mean im due for a service?

Unless you have only recently had a service and the indicator hasn't been reset?

nope not had one since i bought the car last march so guessed that was what it was. i was just planning to change oil etc next month anyway. how will i get it to turn off?

Mines off in for this service in two weeks (and its only done 43k) and its gonna cost £192, plus £360 for a new cambelt!!!!!!

yaha. I bought it from them, and I dont want to be voiding my 1 year used warranty on it :p Next year will be a local VW authorised garage - too expensive!!!!

WOW! thats a lot of dosh for cambelt. didnt think they wuold cost that much from dealer. I take mine to a guy who works for himself at his house lol. He's got a wicked good reputaion and i get mates rates as he knows my dad. He did my cambelt and replaced the drivers side mirror glass or £90. considering the cambelt kits costs £45 and the mirror glass was genuine vag for £20 guess im gettng a bargain on the labour :D
