Do you have the wiring there but the light is missing? if so, its very easy to fit a cold cathode kit or a led array into the boot. I had 2 white cold cathode tubes in my boot but apparently their performance degrades with cold weather, so I bought some white leds and prepared a loom to fit it under the parcel shelf. I will post pics when I do the installation.

here are some pre-installation pics. the leds will be fitted on the underside of the parcel shelf, one on each side. To ease future removals of the shelf i used a two terminal connector. i get the power from the original trunk light terminals, and this allows the leds to go on when the boot is opened.

No Idea where should the original wiring be located??

Thanks

I believe if you don't have the boot light but you have the wiring there it must be on the right side of the boot, next to the right seat belt tensioner housing. If it is not there, you may have to explore a source which is switched on when the boot is opened.

yes they are, they are PCB boards with 24 super bright leds on them. I test fitted them yesterday and the brightness is amazing, its almost blinding! I forgot to mention I bought these from superbrightleds.com.

I havent got a boot light in my "S" model.

But i have noticed if the boot is not closed a light appears on the dash saying it is not closed properly.

This means there must be some switch and wiring somewhere ??

Think it might be controlled by the plastic flap covering latch when boot open.

So must be able to tap into this wire for powering light ??

Does anyone know if this is possible ???

Thanks

:D
