engine start button - ordered
sills - ordered

don't put the gti badge on the grill, it ruins it like putting vxr on a corsa. apart from that good plans, looking forward to the pictures

Welcome dude! Let us know bout all the mods in future posts :P I like the idea of this engine start button!

And as for the GTI Badge - Im with Max. Ive asked the same question before, and the response i got was it would look silly as the rest of the car doesnt have the GTI styling, or the engine to be worthy of it :P

Cheers,

Alex

Welcome along mate.

You sure it wasn't a write off or something.......as nobody in there right mind would sell a genuine 60k mk5 polo for £500!!!

Anyways, plans sound good, but yeh leave the GTI badge OFF!!!!

sorry messed up not the actual gti badge i meant the gti grill with black vw badge

i know its a great bargain i got it off one of my best mates hes movin up in the world and got a company car, guess he just wanted rid of it and knew i was a good home for it. getting it resprayed now same colour just to freshen it up and get rid of any scratches.

yeah the start button is kl its a kit so you can easily do it yourself and i will post a wee diy thing to show you

all the wee things ive ordered come next week so im dead excited

i love this site its great for hints, tips, diy, referances etc

very impressed........

Welcome to the mad house :D

Sounds like you gotta right bargain, and have some good plans ahead of you. Dont spray it the same colour, do something interesting with it!

I'm a bit concerned with the 'seat covers and mats' you have on your list. Sounds nasty!

whats wrong with seat covers and mats??? i gt the mats today they look great. the covers are ordered just to protect the original interior or do you think i should just leave the covers?

Didnt mean to sound rude. I just think seat covers make a look a little boy racer. Proper cheesy chav style. Especially if there those naff rad and black ones!

Subtlety is the way forward (i know, i cant say much!)

Exactly! The standard interiors were always quite nice on the 6n2 anyway. You can usually find complete gti '1' interiors on ebay for a couple hundred quid. I'd do that if i didnt already have one!
