Most of the time, 17" inch wheels on a 6N2 would look silly. They're rather heavy, and tyres can be rather expensive for them.

I think that 15" or 16" is the optimum size for 6N2's.-

When buying wheels, think different. Have a look on different VW forums, for a decent set of second-hand wheels (remember- you don't have to buy new). Also on ebay, there are plenty of nice wheels. Don't be tempted to go down the Halfords option, there are plenty of good deals out there on the web.

Have a look here, there's the slipstream wheel, which is a good price, and is an extremely light wheel. Also there's the Cup (which has a huuuuge dish!) and the JMAG, which is a nice euro-style wheel.

Of course, this is my personal advice.

If ur car has a small engine i wud go for 17s.... If you drive crazy, like takin corners fast and have a gti go for 15s...... better handling etc.

I have 17s, and the handling aint amazin but i luv them... even though i want 15s now. Personal opinion, but i dnt thinks 17s look silly!

me to, i dont think 17's look silly if its the right type of wheel and its low enough. i currently have 15's on my car but wanna go up to 16's then lower it to a nice height.

if your looking for bigger wheels the highest i would go would be 16's on 40 profile tyres then you can lower it without any probs and it looks awesome!!!

with 17s in a small engined car your gunna kill the acceleration,

go for either 15's or 16's my personal preference 16's bit more expensive but worth it!!!

The SuperT's are cool. I prefer these though. I've always thought that they would look awesome on a Polo 8)

With the Polo, you don't want anything too intricate. Remember, less is more when styling a VW.

i think, just as important to rim size is the offset. 15's are all well and good, but the question is also, what ET to get the best stance?
