Anti-roll bars knocking

Post by Callum »

Hello all,

Does anybody else suffer from the anti-roll bar knocking on the front?

Mines lowered approx 50mm on the front, I've fitted new bushes but made sweet FA difference!!

It seems worse on the passenger side, really annoying!!

I had this problem only to find that the drop links had actually broken off, apparently they are quite weak on this model.

Yeah my link snapped on one side. It used to knock like hell. Do what i did, remove it! No more knocking, and cos the car's so low it doesn't roll anyway.

Good call removing it!!

Does that mean taking the whole anti-roll bar off, not using one at all? Or just remove the arms?

Sorry I'm being thick!!

I took the whole thing off, links, bushes the lot! its a bit of a pain getting it over the exhaust, it'd be a lot easier if you unbolt the front pipe from the manifold. I thought this would be a right pain, so struggled for hours trying to get it off! I later found out the front pipe unbolts dead easy!
