Air Con

When I set my Climatronic to LO and ECON it seems to feel slightly colder than it does with ECON off. Do you think my air con needs regassed?

The car has done almost 36k miles and hasn't been regassed since new to my knowledge

ECON means the compressor is turned off, the compressor is only on in either AUTO or when you set airflow, fan speed manually and ECON is not on the display. Sounds strange that its colder with ECON on, mines was just due a regas when I sold it at 5 and half years old and made sure I used it in the winter months to keep the seals lubricated so I would say you are due a regas.

Mines at nearly 60k and to my knowledge it's not been regassed since in my ownership, and I've had it over 3 and a half years now. Think they recommend it done every couple of years if i remember correctly.

Let us know how much and where as I may need to have it done soon...thanks!

Skoda dealer was going to do mine for Â£50 but sold it before getting it done.

I'll probably get it done anyway so it's ready for the summer. I always have mine set to ECON most the time at this time of year, except when I need to clear the windows
