Power Drums ? Nah Mate, Good Old Halfords Spray Paint, Few Coats of Primer, Same with the Black, and Also The Laquer 8) Gonna throw it on 4 Stands 2 tomorrow and Jet wash the Arches, Also maybe Wind The Coils to The Bottom, As you can see in the Pic there's A Way to go lol

I never got round to taking a pic of the finished thing, only did one side as it took ages sanding it down and getting all the rust off! :lol:

Sod Proper Sanding Down lol, I just attacked mine with the Old Wire Brush lol, You do you'rs Black Yeah ?

Should've used Hammerite mate, better than paint for brakes etc.

He should be ok with the drums due to it not generating that much temp, but with calipers etc, get the hammerite out.

The normal paint still wont last as long though on the drums!

i did mine red, i used this stuff from motor world, he said that hammerite wouldn't last as long, cost me 20 squid. looks good though. (mk4 though :twisted: )

You dont want to drag attention to a set of drums. Get them black and hidden! :)

Goin to get mine calipiers down within the week. What I need to do them? Sand them etc?

Well As Stated, If your Doing the Callipers, Then you'll need hi Temp Paint, ie Hammerite, All i done for the drums, was Wire brush them Down, and A Couple of coats of Primer, Then Black Pain, Then the Laquer, I know at some point i'll have to do them again, but better than looking rusty,

Also Keeping them subtle is the way forward i say! Rather than red etc, No offence to anyother person that has done this, just i dont like things over the top on vag cars, Euro Way always !

I thought u just sprayed the hammerite on just after u wire brushed them?
