When u say the rubber, do u mean the black edging of the badge or the dark grey backing?

The rubber stays the colour it is (it'd probably crack if you sprayed it)

As for the backing (in between the VW sign) see my guide in the DIY Guides 8)

Thats what I was thinking, which is why I asked! As for the backing, wet & dry, few coats of primer, paint and laquer was what I did.

Yeah i meant the backing. Cheers dude, ill do that once the weather picks up! :)
