Polo pride

Post by Chally_Rai »

Is it just me or are you all more likely to forgive a polo?

I find im quite prone to road rage (although i am calming down, i think it may just be beginners excitement)

I do generally get annoyed when people jump the queue and butt in, stick their noses out of junctions, go 35 in a 50 mph zone etc...

but if its a polo i quite happily let them in queues, not just that but i'll follow them, keeping to the tyres on tarmac rule, with a slight yet evident 'its a polo' smile on my face.

i also find myself lookin at polo owners in mirrors and giving them the 'we're cool' look. 8)

Is this just me?

we're just so uber cool.. especially the ones that have the carzone body kits. i'm sure you'll find quite a few idiot polo drivers as you drive around places and your opinion will change, however it's nice to see a nicely modified polo every now and then, however i really do hate it when i see a polo gone to waste, like a gti sitting on 17s near my uni (wolfrace as well), it just doesn't go

I'm the same, but I do it with other cars, too. For example, when I gave my car a drive last Wednesday, I saw a Caterham Seven coming the other way, and I gave the owner a wave. He probably thought I was some sort of bearded loon with silly glasses, but I liked his car.

I do this when I'm driving the Mini, I always give another Mini owner a wave

after reading this i though i am going to (for at least a week) only thank polo's and only let out polo's.

started earlier when i dropped my girlfriend off.

let out a polo and waved at 3.

my girlfriend said i'm an idiot

the polo i let out i slowed down from like 50 to about 20 just to let it out, i felt sorry for him as the que behind me was bad so he would've never got out - my excuse

I'm usually like that to VAG's in general, except if there's old people behind the wheel.

I'm totally with you, have a major soft spot for polos and generally Dub's, always give them the benefit of the doubt, and sometimes follow modded polos to get a better look and show off my little beast..haha

I'm a polo stalker!

i pulled up next to a silver 3 dr 9N just today! was being driven by a 60 yr old woman, i gave her a quick wink and thumbs up whilst checking her, and the car out!

she got the idea and laughed,

...we later exchanged numbers at the next traffic lights.

Hehe I do this too, I try to be nice (on the roads) to the majority of VW's, and extra nice if it's a Polo or a GTI.
Also when im parking if it all possible i'll park next to or near to another Polo. (Not entirely sure why I do it, I just feel compelled to). Last week I got a space in a large car park right next to another Polo and when I came back to my car a third Polo had parked in the row and a Bora next to that (the row of VW badges looked well cool). Coincidence? maybe, or possibly its some kind of VW driver solidarity?

haha I did the same yesterday, I went into a fairly empty car park and sat my gti right next to a silver one...they had the heated leather lucky bastards...but my wheels were nicer :)
