Keyless entry

I have replaced my standard gamma headunit with a jvc one but now i have to unlock the car manually with th key. help?

I'm lead to beleive this is something to do with the immobiliser thats built into the standard head units. I read about a wire convertor somewhere, but cant remember when or where :(
