This sounds like a right laugh,

I've just come back from Newquay on a similar event with the Renault Sports Club, It was a top weekend.

Every one met along route at various services (ala cruise) and everyone convoyed to Newquay!

Excellent! Shame they were all Reno's!

But was thinking this would be even better for VW's

Im all for it, and im willin to help organise.

Sounds like a good plan - club polo are doing something along the same lines but going to France. Maybe we should to a uk-polos one?

Is it wrong that i looked at that thread and my head started to hurt? i think im getting old.....

also with all that partying, how would we drive, unless of course your talking about partying without alcohol, does that work? i can do it once, but that many times?

hmmm

I'd go to france though. Get your moneys worth that way ...seeing a new country and that....although i can see why non-southwesterners would want to see it all. It is after-all the best part of the UK for (not so) smooth drives with nice views....i say, not biasly at all obviously.

I reckon we should do our own, then we could choose our own route, I except we could get loads of people together and get some stickers done up for it etc.

Maybe go somewhere like wales for the nice beaches + camping?

The one organised by the reno lot i went with, had convoys that came from all over meeting at services along the way.

Worked well really, we came down from preston and met up with people from the midlands then went further and picked up bristol etc, etc.

I think the same format would wourk well, but the renalt one was only 2 days, their and back, harsh!

Id suggest summat along the lines of drive down day 1, drink!!, chill day 2 n drink, day 3 return!

Would have made it better in my opinion!

Just need a destination!!!

I recon wales is a pretty good place for meeting up then convoying to somewhere with a campsite. Maybe for a long weekend/bank hol wkend or something.
