hello everyone, im new to this forum so excuse me if i have missed a post for this topic previously. i have recently bought a polo 1.4 tdi se and was interested in getting more out of it. i've done some reading up n think that remapping's the way for me but i'm unsure if there's any other mods i might wanna think about before remapping...
when i ordered my wheels they done a price on some billstein coils. managed to get them for about 280. minus the fitting. everything goes on next week...
what kinda rims would u say. i was going for a 15x7.5..deepish dish really??
well i have a set of ats cups which are 7j wide and are 15inch on a tyre 165/50/15 which is a mega stretch, get your self a set, what colour is your polo?
yeh the cups are a nice whel. so u reckon a 165 tyre. my polo's black, 3dr. got a really good deal on it. its the se version with climate control. 40k 3500
You dont want to swap it for a gti do you??! Sounds like you got a right bargain! I like the ls's on a mk5, they make it look how a dub should.
You can gain loads with the 1.4 tdi. A remap, filter, exhaust should see around 110bhp. I'm not sure if it would fit but i've always wondered about strapping on the 150bhp 1.9 turbo, as in theory it should make it go like stink!
ha ha ha no ta mate. tdi's alllll mine. the 1.9 is a great idea but im sure hardly any mechanics would wanna go near that. u could be causing more trouble for yourself than its worth. if u ever managed it though, i see that revo or awsome are giving jabba a run for their money on remaping results. differences of like 5-15 hp

am i reading that right, you got bilstein collies for £280?! thats a bloody bargain!? they only make 2 sets for the 6n2 i know of, even if its only the PSS kit (lesser than PSS9) thats still bloody cheap and i would be happy to pay that much for them, other places price them £700 min!!
well thats what the man reckons. apparently they were the last set they had and needed getting rid of. i'll double check that though n let u kno. they done quite a good deal really. all in all i spent about 1100 with them. the companies based in hayes.....
33% not bad at all. thanks. jabbasports is what i was dredding. bout a 2hr drive for me i think. its worth it by the sounds of things. i'll defo call em. cheers
