Lowering my Polo, question...

Post by Kristof_clg »

Hi,

My MkV 6n2 Polo comes with 185/55 14" stock.

Will i have any problem if i lower it about 50mm?

I mean, has anyone done that and had zero problems?

I just want to be sure i don't make a mistake. Thanks in advance ;)

with 50 you won't have any problems at all until you start going into the 16" or 17" boundries

well from my experience you will get slight rubbing over bumps when you drop to -75mm with 16's but its hardly noticeable

so 50mm drop with your stocks will be fine

im no expert (as i cant drive yet) but my mate has a 1.0mpi similar to mine and has lowered it 60mm with 15s on it no probs at all and he has told me it feels better, sticks to the road more and handles better

i'm wanting to lower mine 60mm if anyone has any springs going

good luck!

yup, handles like a go-cart, especially around roundabouts!
but you will have a slightly firmer ride as a result.
