Lower is Better

Post by ticki »

Well I dropped the Polo this weekend by another 30mm on my FK Highsports, and I must say every thing has improved, handles like a go-kart, steering is giving better feedback from the wheels, and from the ride surprisingly more comfort. :D

I'm at work, otherwise I would post the pic that goes with this statement:

This thread is worthless without pics! :D

As above, how low are you now?

Cheers

Its hard to say because I have never had the car at standard to measure from. I have set the lower nut on the coilovers to 49mm from the bottom thread. I'm running 15" BBS rims on Yokohama A539 195/45/ R15's and there whould be a 30mm-40mm gap between top of the tyre to the wheel arch I guess.

Wow I didn't think it would be that low, I was guessing maybe -60mm.

I am surprised the ride is more suple over the the smaller bumps. I believe the FK's Springs are working better with the extra travel I allowed by lowering it.
