Standard Head unit

I'm a bit skint at the mo & have seen several peoples dashes after they have bought an aftermarket head unit...to be honest it looks s**t due to the shape of the dash & position of the head-unit.

How good is the standard head unit? Can i run my phoenix gold fronts off it o.k? and does it have a sub out?

I have a boot build all ready to go but i dont fancy taking the car apart if I need to buy a new head unit first...any one know?

your probably going to need to run all the wires through your car anyway, so why not do that now, ready for when you want to change the head unit? sorry i can't help otherwise - just a suggestion.

hi mate this is what i put into my GTi last week it also comes in black.
its the best unit ive had and ive had some head units

this unit lets you take a pic of your car then convert that pic and put it onto the radio as a screen saver or as a 10 sec movie cool !

also does a lot more aswell.

you need a speaker wire converter box to change the rear speaker wires into rca connectors which then you can put rca leads to the amp, you will also need to connect the blue remote wire to the ingtion live to turn on/off the amp other wise dead battery

. just ripped out my boot build had ps2 and screen in boot plus alpine dvd head unit up front
