Wipers won't stop! :?

Post by 1 GTI »

Got into my car this afternoon as normal and started my car up and my wipers were on, so I go to knock them off and they're already off :? This really freaked me out, lol. Phoned up my VW mechanic and he said it's either the switch or the motor. Forgot to mention the front and back wipers won't go off. Booked it into Autolec which specialise in automotive electrics. Anybody had this problem or know what it is? Another thing I forgot to say is my boot sensor light is on, haven't had time to do it. Also my boot light has stopped working aswell. Cheers

Thats what I thought it might have been. The wipers are working fine for now. Not sure how long before it'll have a fit again. Do you know where the relay is at all?

My wipers have decided not to switch off again. It's bloody annoying. I've noticed it only happens when we have heavy rain

Sorry no idea. Have a look in a Haynes manual.
