Hello Members
This didn't happen prior to needing a new frount passenger window and door mirror, after a hit and run in October 2006, but water is now dripping out between the interior door panel, getting past the door opening seal at the bottom, and onto the carpet.
Whats happening, the bottom weather rubber window 'seal' on the outside of the door is only making contact to the window near it's ends, it's as if the car door is slightly bowed, theres like a 3mm gap between glass and seal as it aproaches the middle area, i can only assume it's got distorted when the bodyshop where putting the frount passenger window in because of the curve of the glass.
Still, i don't want to take it back to them, as too many months, and the fact that they were the insurance company's contractors, and they whern't great anyway.
So i'm gonna try and correct it myself, i ordered a new rubber 'seal', and door interior panel clips, first off does anyone know if this outside 'seal' is glued on, or is it clipped in, or, is it just a case of pushing it off (haynes dosn't say), and do you think i may be able to striaghten the door, get rid of this bowing by slightly pushing the area back a bit without taking the interior door panel off, does anyone have a good idea?
Members help would be great.
Kind regards
Livio
