I have a problem, allthough my car is running perfect (i think) whenever i start the engine, the car makes that warning tone and on the dash (where miles etc is usually displayed) a picture of a snapper and the words "INSP" (which im guessing means inspect?) start flashing, it happens for about 5 seconds then goes normal again, is something wrong?

The car is telling you it needs a service.

my service is due after 19,000 miles though...

another question, im wanting to replace the cd player, ive heard that with a mkvii its not as simple as with previous polo's, something about being a lot of different cables? is this true?

There is a 20k service at either when the car hits 20k or the date for the next service - thats probs whats happened.
