my yesterday!

Post by DanDiesel »

yesterday was a busy day for me!

it started at 6.30, i had to wake Hollie so she could get ready for work as she has just got a new job at P&O in Dover (duty free anyone?).

after that, it was annual "day to find the right car insurance" which went quite well. i phoned a company called Brentacre Insurance Services who quoted me £470 fully comp, with a protected NCB, legal cover etc.

the best bit.........all cosmetic changes (inc.exhaust, DV, panel filter :? ) will be covered free of charge as long as i tell them before hand! :D can't fault their service, it really is top quality! tel no. 01792 650933

so remember these:

well they have been delivered to the refurbers and i should have them sometime next week!

i then went about ordering some tyres which the refurbers said they'd fit for free when i dropped them in to them! bonus :)
i ordered some Nankang NS-2 as they are summer tyres and had a 2.2 av rating on mytyres (where 1 is best and 6 is worst) so i thought at £40 a corner they were pretty good value!

after this i ordered an Ibiza FR backbox (twin straight out) and a new rear valence with the cut out. my backbox needed changing anyways so i thought now would be a good time to change it!
also getting some interior bits spraying gloss black by a mate so hopefully they will be done soon!
then put some stuff on ebay, sorted some paperwork and then took my g/f for a meal to celebrate her aformentioned new job!

the only downsides to the day were
1. i have a cold which turned into an annoying cough
2. i found out that the camcorder which i was about to put on ebay, decided to stop working (i think the battery is knackered!)

other than that it was a good day off!

Yeh Brentacare are awesome. I switched from Andrain Flux to them in November. The guys there know there VW's too. They talked to me about the car. Much prefer that than dealing with a call centre the other side of the world.

Sounds like you had a good day.

Mine was'nt bad either, as I got a nice wedge of cash for overtime.

This morning did'nt start so well. Big lorry blocked the entrance to my garage, so was late for work, then saw a van crash into the side of a Corrado G60

Great stuff Dan, oh and it's not a cold - it's man flu

Tell Hollie I said congratuations (if she remembers me from the Expo, otherwise she'll wonder who the hell I am)

Look forward to seeing the wheels, I'm looking to get mine done soon.
