hey guys iv jst regeistered to de site brought a polo mk5 3 weeks ago n its cool few probs bt ill sort it out well hope so.
went to vw show today was awsome!
question my car kinda sounds like a desil n sounds like there is a knockin in de engin so i took it bk n de man said it ok theydrove it round n thay said its ok bt i dont think so? do 1.4 8v sound like tanks or is it jst mine if anybody can help that would be ace thanks Ritch:

Hello and welcome. VW's have a tendancy to sound like a diesel when they start up, but shouldn't do it all the time.

It sounds like the tappets arent getting enough oil, or maybe the wrong grade oil is being used. Give it an engine flush and oil/filter change using a good quality 10w40 semi synthetic oil and a good brand filter (fram/coopers/unipart etc)

Oh, and please keep the text talk for your mobile, as that took me twice as long to read as it should of!

You will need to be a bit more specific m8. And also dont use text speak. It wont help the people trying to talk to u.

im going to get it checked out by a mechanic anyway as i've just fitted a new oil filter,
