Post by Bryony84 »

Does anyone know of a good wheel refurbisher in the Portsmouth area?

hey bryony, it may be a bit far for u to go but have u heard of spit and polish in tunbridge wells? there is also Lepsons in gillingham. both have pretty decent reputations i think!
Doug got his BBS refurbed at Lepsons although his are one piece rims and ur bbs are two piece so u may have to pay slightly higher prices!

I can vouch for the quality of Spit & Polish's work. They did my RXII's, and the finish on them was top-notch.

There's Wicked Wheels, who are a Mobile wheel refurbisher. I've heard good things about them too. They also cover the Portsmouth area.

i got a quote from spit and polish for 44 +vat and they need 3workin days but only down side is that you have to split the rims before you take them. other wise not bad and they do a wicked job

Hmm, was looking for something a bit closer to home, although they do sound good! Not sure about splitting the rims myself tho!

that sounds cheap, it sounds like he just does a bit of sanding and repairing scuffs and kerb marks and maybe painting.
a full refurb will cost a lot more!
i'm currently getting my bbs rxII fully refubed with colour coding in the centres at £65 a corner!

I would give you a call but thanks to a rather untimely expensive phone bill (£500 in one month) & a purchase of my RXII 16's i'm temporarily barred, you free any time after 5:30pm this week? it will only take 10 mins
