hey guys,
this is my first ICE install.
i have a Pioneer DEH-30MP head unit, which is 4x50W and has to 12V Pre-outs, so im told.
basically, i picked up a cheap sub, amp and all the leads off a mate today for £20.
i was quoted £50 for it to be installed, and thought, thats not really worth it, seeing as when i get some money together, i'll buy a new system. and therefore have to pay for the installation all over again.
so basically, how hard is it to fit a sub and amp to my battery and head-unit?
if its not too hard, i'll give it a go.
many thanks

Its fairly simple - halfords quoted me something silly like £80, so i thought as if!. I took it into my own hands from there. Bought an amp wiring kit, some bits for the HU to make it all work and some speaker cable and got to work. Its taken about 10 hours in total as I haven't had much light (i have been doing it at night when i get home from work), but it was all done and works beautifully now!
Cheers,
Alex
