Polo Mk5 Homemade Induction Kit

Post by Kristof_clg »

Hi,

Here in Chile (Do you know where that is? :p ) are no induction kits made for the Polo (like K&N kits, BMC, etc), and it's very expensive to import one of those. So I decided to make my own induction kit.

First I went to a shop and they made for me a very short induction, which ended with the cone filter in the wrong place:

I had it like that for about a month, then i realized i could do it myself, i just needed pipes and a bigger cone filter. These are the results:

This way the cone filter is where the original intake was (that is the coldest spot imo). I know it isn't very pretty but it works so much better than before ;)

Hope you like it, comments please :)

that's not bad actually! given me an idea as well, would'nt mind doing that to my car. suggest that you spray paint those pipes and you're on to a winner!

Thanks!

Note that the filter is behind the front light, so if i need real performance i can take the light out and have more (cold) airflow into the filter :)
