Would I be correct in saying having a larger thottle body would increase the engine's breathing so potentially increase the Bhp (albeit a very small amount), if so is there a larger throttle body that that would fit a 1.4 L APQ Mk4 polo with little hassle??
Cheers
Larger throttle body

you can pick them up on ebay.. im watching a few at the mo..
I have read somewhere that they increase your speed by 5%..
not sure how true that is. But it is something to consider... however its probably more productive to get your car tunned or look at chipping the car so the electronic processor doesnt limit the speed you can go.

Theoretically a bigger/wider throttle body should increase the flow in the inlet, and therefor increase torque mostly, and some bhp. But since the ports in your cilinderhead aren't made wider then they are now/originally, it won't have that big an effect. Widen the ports in you cilinderhead, then a bigger/wider throttle body will definately be "much fun"
