i can't help you with the corsa but i can help you not waste your money on a bora, i used to have a top spec 150tdi bora - the rear suspension and the lack of rear weight makes corner handling AWFUL it's a car where you can take the same coenre 10 times fine and the 11th (with or without traction, and believe me in a bora you WONT take it off) it'll throw the back end out and almost send you off the road. my advice, get the new jetta (they made the reat suspension independant, thank jesus!) or a vr6 corrado, the mk3/4 golfs were also awesome cars (before they got heavy and underpowered IMO)

in a straight line the bora 150tdi was a REALLY fast car.. which you could make good ecu mods to.. when stock it would thrash the 180golf gti's, even with mods on them, the torque is superb = great in gear accelaration.. but if you take a corner you still wonder which day it'll decide to kill you on

back to the corsa, when u say it wont start wat do u mean? wat exactly happens when u turn the key?
do u think maybe cause its a chav car that it knows u owned a polo so its gonna give u grief for that?

i just had the problem with my polo. not the chav bit, couple of weeks ago my car was sitting on the drive and i went to start it and nothing. it didnt even tick over. the dash board lights came on as normal but nothing from the engine. the radio worked to and so did my alarm (bearing in mind i dont have central locking and it wasnt ont he car when i brought it).

so not knowing wat it was i upgraded my break down so someone would come to my house and sort it. the first guy said my battery was just flat so it needed charging.......... he was wrong............ the second guy said i need a new starter motor.......... he was wrong to........ i then rang up my cousing and he said its not the starer motor its prob a flat battery...... he never came to see the car just went by my description.......... the battery was worse then flat.......... my godfather, whos not even a qualified mechanic, said it was the battery. he said it needed a new battery.............. he was right.......... he fitted a ew battery and all was well again...

in other words check ur battery is fine and its not buggered up or n e thing.

if it turns over but the engine dont start then i dont know.

aye it turns, i know the battery is fine coz 1. i had it on charge an 2. i tried jumpin my car 2 give it extra charge an still wudnt start so im dwn to 2 possible causes, eitha plug leads or fuel pump, im leavin it in2 a garage 2moz 2 get sorted once an 4 all, 75quid ive wasted on parts, i spent 4 hours fittin the start in the freezin cold with my car on axle stands, lol an it wudnt start so i was abit ripped wen that happend, but hopefully she will be ok 2moz, an its temp only, VW will be back soon
