Strut Braces

I know this has been covered many times but just want some to confirm that I'm ordering the right bits. I have a Polo 1.9 TDI Sport (100bhp). Just wondering if the following are correct for my car:

I know the 2002> Ibiza one fits, as that is what I have in my car so they should be fine!

sorry to theive off someone's toppic here, but how much would it cost to fit these? or how many hours work is involved?

I believe its a five minute job. Theres also a DIY guide by dino

so...pretty cheap mod really

considering, will i notice them much in my stock 1.2?

im just looking for a reason to buy something, and to be able to say "i have strut braces!!!

from what i read, it seems a pretty easy job to do!? just unscrew and re-screw? would you suggest i attempt it myself? or not? im not very technically minded + am the proud owner of a very short temper/attention span

Looks slightly harder for Diesels but in a petrol it took me literally 4-5 minutes if that

Loosen and remove two bolts each side, position brace, replace and tighten up the bolts to torque - Simple!

can anyone give me a quick review of the performance of the strut brace? is it worth that Â£50 bit of metal?

My Polo is decked on coilovers and I can honestly say that it mostly makes my Engine bay look better

. There is some improvement in cornering (from how well the coilovers improve it) and sometimes it makes pulling into my driveway a little funny - have to swirve it in to get it in.

Currently my car is on 14's with big sidewalls, so this may be why there ain't a substantial improvement!

I'd think though that on fixed lowering kits and stock suspension you may notice a better improvement.

Can't really say whether its worth it - it is and it isn't

thanks for your responses. i'll get these ordered up and let you know if they make and improvement. no idea when i will get around to fitting them but fingers crossed they will be easy to put on. printed the how to guide off already for the top one bottom one will be a bit of trial and error! cheers, si

brought these from strutbracer via ebay and still waiting for delivery. something to do with them coming from italy and not much more info. would have been quicker to drive to italy and pick them up myself.

rear strut braces for the 9n are going to be available from Forge very soon at a sensible price too. Keep an eye on their website for more info if interested.
