The Good, The Bad and the Plain F*cking Annoying!!!
The Good, The Bad and the Plain F*cking Annoying!!!
Well good news is my badgeless front grille and smoked clear side repeaters came today. Fitted them both (grille put up a bit of a fight but its all good now) and it looks the absolute b*llocks!
The bad news is that im suffering what a few of you have probably gone through and my sodding central locking pump doesnt work! I'm gonna try cleaning the wires of deposits and crap 2moro if theres any water damage, if not then ill need a new pump! (anyone know how much this will be?)
The f*cking annoying part is that my boot also decided to f*ck up aswell and it wont open with the key! it goes in but doesn't move!!
This is where it really f*cks me off..............im running a tad low on petrol but coz the central locking doesnt work i couldnt open my fuel cap. SO...i needed to get in the boot to open it manually but couldnt coz the boot wont open!!!
Had to pull the back seats down and reach about like a blind idiot for the little rod thing to open the fuel cap!!
ARGGGGH!! piece of sh*t!!!
Sorry........rant over!!

I'll try what matt501 suggested, hopefully its an easy fix and not a new lock jobby.
And pip_polo....was not one of my best days no! lol! all excited about the new sh*t coming and looking the titties..........and then the b*tch of a car decides to be an absolute c*nt on me!!
Not pleased! not pleased at all!!!
Going to Finishline 2moro aswell to get a quote on having my new front bumper and skirts sprayed......... that, on top of a new central locking pump, will anally rape my wallet!!! f*cking cars....love 'em and hate 'em all at once!

I bloody hope so! i cant be arsed to get a new boot lock, hopefully when i sort out the pump it will kick back in to life, if not ill try what matt501 said!
Ive just looked at prices for central locking pumps.........bloody £100!! christ!! i think i might wait for a second hand one..........just annoying having to open the doors manually and have no boot for a while!! i'll see how long i can hack it before i snap and end up paying some greasy fingered arse mongering dealer £100 for one!!

Well lol you will need to open the boot to replace the cenral locking pump
So you may as well give it a go at least you will have a boot till u get a new pump
its as easy as pie:
remove the screw theich folds the inside trim (door card) on and it will just pull off. you will then just neet to fiddle about with the catch and it should pop open
Good luck

AS i found out the other day...
The Mk3 golf central locking pump fits our Polo's... however make sure you get the pump with the existing plastic tubing as thats what makes it all work!
Also the electrical connector fits straight in flush... so if you can pick a golf one up 2nd hand.. you might save your self a little extra cash

Whoop-de-f*cking-doo!!! the central locking works and me and the old man fixed the boot!!
Must have been a dry joint in the central locking electrics.....removed the electrical contact pin, pushed it in and out a few times to scratch a new contact area, sprayed in some WD40 and the son of a b*tch works!
Also managed to fix the boot aswell, a component attached to the handle had slipped forwards and wasnt making contact with the barrel via the various plastic joints. Pushed it back in to place and jobs a good 'un. The old man managed to get the key moving in the barrell by spraying it with WD40 and wiggling it in and out! good old WD40!!
Now to sort out the weird noise coming from my gearbox/clutch and get the rear wiper working.......
