UK-Polos plates

Post by ModifiedMadness »

Was looking on http://www.theplateman.co.uk earlier and saw that they do discounts on Bulk Buys.

Was thinking we could maybe get a load of them for those who regulalry attend the shows (just saying UK-Polos) so all the plates on the cars match.

I did see one club at Ultimate Dubs who had done this, I think it looks really good when you're there as a club.

Opinions please.

Anyway i think its a great plan... any chance we can do black/silver plates cos I was gonna get some shows plates done up in that style anyway.

Its a cool idea, the only prohibitive aspect is the cost to the club. But Club Lupo have done it with great success!

'Tis a good idea. As said before the cost aspect will have to be worked around. I don't think people should be made to get one, if they want to be on a stand.

Also, if we do get to order the plates, maybe we should use the GB font on the plates. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but a German style plate with UK-POLOS could be contradictory.

If we do get them, maybe PVW would get our name right for once

Even if we were to buy them ourselves.

We could perhaps get away with one plate each just for the front of the car?

It would just be cool because we seem to be growing fairly quick recently, more people would know who we are then and we'd look more "together" if you see what I mean.

did you ever seen junction29's plates? they were pretty snazzy. i think phatdubs had some similar also!

i guess it could be an idea that one person looks after a set and hands them out at a show, the problem is getting them all back again. people just dissapear! 8)

also, it would be a case of numberplate holders wouldn't it? i don't have any on the polo and i'm not planning on putting any on.

we definitely need some way of showing that we are part of uk-polos. plates are a good idea but how about a couple of flags? one at each end of our stand?
