Ive just registered with this forum but have been lurking around for quite a while now. I also became a polo owner recently for the first time.
I bought a new 56 polo 1.4SE TDi in september last year and i am really impressed with it.
I had a new Golf GTI before it, so it had a lot to live up to!
Although not a fast car it seems to have an impresive amount of tourque and always just where you need it. I also think it feels more solid than the mk5 golf - more like the mk4. Its returning about 53mpg which is good too!
I had a lot of problems with my mk5 golf and it had a lot of creaks and rattles. Ive not had any of this with the polo yet - touch wood.
I do however have one concern and wondered if any other polo owner had experienced the same thing. Every once in a long while i will be sat at a set of traffic lights with my foot on the brake and it will drop away by about 5mm. In fact on the few occasions it has done it, i was at the same lights.
I would appreciate any comments from anyone in case its unsafe. I dont want to go to the stealers in less i realy need to. In my experience they tend to do more harm than good!
Congratulations on a great forum!
John
