Hi all, Fantastic website, lots of information.

i Wanted to ask, Im near purchasing my first vw, and im hopeing to be buying into that vw quality as i hope to keep the car for a fair old while.

Ive done the chav thing with lexus lights and 17's that make my car a tractor, i want my polo to be subtle and nice, so ill be only doing what looks sexy rather than different. i love the mark 5 polo and in my opinion its the nicest polo shape the've done, and i wanted to know what size wheels i can get on my new polo when i get her? id like to know the biggest i can go (without arch work) and what people think looks best...

I like the look of these borbet wheels, not sure if they would fit or not, or be the right offset, are the polos are 4 or 5 stud? and how wide can i go without problems.. these are 7.5.. - http://www.potn.co.uk/-_c1_8751_8754_p1024310.htm

any help would be great.

cheers chaps.
steve

yeah subtle is the way forward with vw's if your cars not a gti get the gti grille and splitter, lower it and some nice wheels and it will be looking good!

wheels, the biggest you can go is 17 inch but lowering then becomes a problem! imo 16s are the biggest you should go on a mk5 polo and then you can lower it 60mm all round like im just about to

plus those borbet wheels are awesome buy them! both 16inch and 15 would look awesome!!!

thankx for your info lads, 16's are a nice size, 60mm all round you say? does that mean 60mm all round without any rubbing or problems even on full lock? ive just realised them borbet wheels are 5 stud, do they do 15's or 16's in them style in a 4 stud wheel? i like deep dish rims, they make me wet, so any links to some nice rims would be peachy.

thankx again guys.

thankx for the info guys, and cheers for redline for that website, some truly beautiful machines in there gallery section, made me weak at the knees some of the pictures on there.

scrubing on full lock you say? hmm i really dont want that, call me square but this car has got to be my everyday, so maybe 15's are the best bet, or not lower her as much? i want the wheel arch gap to look nice mind you.

thankx
