Hi All,
New to the forum, hopefully someone can help. I left the bootlid open a little bit on my 1997 Polo 16v and the boot light has flattened the battery.
Removed the battery, charged it up, put it back in the car and now the alarm sounds and the car is immobilised.
Now up until this point, i didn't know the car had an alarm, there are no alarm keys, theres only a 'VW' keyring, no buttons on it or anything.
The alarm is on the bulkhead, underneath the header tank, has a multi plug in the top which can be pulled out, even with this pulled out, the indicators flash and the car won't start.
The central locking works, the key will bring all the lights on in position 2, but it will not start.
Anyone any ideas please?
