EPC Light!!

Post by h4r1s »

The epc light has come on but the car feels no different to drive, how can i figure out what the problem is without giving it to the stealership? shall i check the HT leads and spark plugs? is there anything else i can check visually before i ask a mechanic to use vagcom on it?

Are your brake lights working? When the brake light switch goes it makes the EPC light come on.

A new brakelight switch mate, mine was done under warranty when it went but I don't think they're expensive.

Happened to mine. I changed both bulbs and all was fine. Seemed wierd how they both went at the same time though!

Got it all sorted for £6.93 from ecp and fitted it my self with the help of a haynes manual, so glad it wasn't something expensive to fix
