Might be one of the rarer Polo models, so here are 3 pics of my 1.6 Sport 5 door in Reflex Silver, no mods yet;

I think 16" rims would have been a good choice, but I was trying to downsize with this car.

Going with the silver theme, I think you should get some dark silver alloys on your car, something along the lines of LMs if you have spare money. I think that would look amazing. What's the performance on the sports like?

Got a weblink for the LMs?

Performance is not the same as my old Mk4 1.8T.... missing the torque curve... but its good enough to keep up with normal traffic without too much stress, it will run in 5th at 1500rpm. Will try harder once run in.

Looks nice. How is it to drive?

Is this 1.6 an FSI or may it be a downtuned and newer version of the one used in the Mk5 GTI? It's not been out long in the Mk7 range anyway

There is no FSI on the engine cover and the brochure is vague, how would I find out? On the website there is no FSI against the engine spec, like the Golf, see http://www.vw.co.uk/new_cars/golf/engines compared to http://www.vw.co.uk/new_cars/polo/engines

Would be interesting if this is a Golf Mk5 engine, as they have 115bhp...

To my knowlege its not a FSI engine, the engine is a 16v 1.6 105PS, or 104 BHP. Either way I wish it was under my bonnet instead of the 1.4 I've got :D

that's what he said originally (unless it was edited)? :lol:

nice car, not sure a silver 1.6 Polo can be classed as rare! I think on this site it is though!

enjoy the mods 8)

the 1.6 unit isn't FSI it's a normal MPI unit (multi point injection, not direct injection like FSI)
you'd notice that the FSI unit would be pumping out around 115bhp not 105bhp (like in the golf mk v before the TSI units replaced it)
